Spring Mini Sessions, Lexington NC

Thursday, February 28, 2013

I'm so excited to announce that I will be doing Spring Mini Sessions again this year. In years past I have only offered them during the week. This year I have decided to offer them on a Friday and Saturday. Time slots are listed at the bottom of the post. To book your session you must pay your session fee when you reserve your time. All fee's are non-refundable.

If it rains the sessions will be moved inside the studio.

Some things to remember. Each session will last about 20 minutes. From those 20 minutes I will choose 10 of the best images. Your images will be edited and put on a disc that can be picked up the following week or mailed to your home. The images are high resolution files that can be printed at the lab of your choice. Prints from the session may also be purchased through Real Life Photography at a discounted rate.

These sessions are available to all ages. However, babies participating in the sessions must be able to sit on their own unassisted. Sibling are great, but remember, you will only receive 10 images, so the more children, the fewer images of each child you will have.

Weddings don't have to be large and include 100's of people to be special. Today I was very honored to be a part of a small sweet ceremony with just 10 people in all, including the bridal party.

The uninvited muddy guests..... Had to snap this. I saw the family's dogs hanging out in the back of the truck as I was leaving, the dog on the left isn't orange by nature.

Newborn Photography Lexington NC, Melissa Sheets

A few years ago I was enjoying weddings so much that I almost decided to give up newborn photography. My brides were fun to work with and weddings presented this amazing challenge. There were constantly new venues and lighting arrangements, new dresses and styles. It fascinated me to the very core of my creative strings. But I am so glad I came to my senses. WHAT WAS I THINKING!

I still love, love, love weddings, but in the past two years babies have consumed a large amount of my studio work. And I adore it. Each time I get to spend an hour with new parents it takes me back to remembering my own children being tiny newborns. I don't have pictures of them being tiny and new other than snapshots. I wish I did.... but now I can create these memories for other moms, and in that I find extreme satisfaction.
